A brief History:

Over 9000 years ago the Chumash Indians called Pismo Beach and its environs home.  Shell mounds still visible today, show that fishing, boating and beach were popular pastimes even then.

In the 1700’s conquistador, Don Gaspar de Portola and parties camped in the area.  (The first campers at Pismo Beach).  Part of the charm of today’s Pismo Beach are the houses and beach boardwalk developed in the late 1800’s. Long, cool beach walks, great restaurants and more. Come and stay…the Pismo Beachwalker Inn & Suites beckons you.
